The Acomb and Westfield Neighbourhood Forum submitted two applications to the council to designate:
- 'The Neighbourhood Forum'
- a Neighbourhood Area to be known as the 'Acomb and Westfield Neighbourhood Area'
The council undertook an 8-week consultation on the submitted Neighbourhood Forum and Neighbourhood Area applications for Acomb and Westfield from Thursday 27 June to Thursday 22 August 2019.
Withdrawal of Acomb and Westfield Neighbourhood Plan
On 16 September 2019, the Chair of the proposed Acomb and Westfield Forum withdrew the applications for:
- (i) designation of a Neighbourhood Plan Area, and
- (ii) designation of a Forum in order to prepare a Neighbourhood Plan for Acomb and Westfield Wards
Both applications were due to be decided at the council's Decision Session - Executive Leader (incorporating Policy, Strategy and Partnerships) on the 18 September 2019.
However, the withdrawal of the Forum and Area applications meant no decision on either application was made.
