The scheme was initially set up as part of the Household Support Fund Scheme which was approved on Monday 8 November 2021. The scheme has been extended to from Monday 1 April 2024 to Monday 31 March 2025.
York Fuel and Food Voucher Scheme provides fuel and food vouchers is being delivered by advice support workers from both City of York Council as well as partner organisations. In addition to vouchers, they will provide financial support alongside advice to York residents affected by food poverty and fuel debt.
Fuel vouchers can assist with the cost of:
- gas
- electricity
- oil
- bottled gas
If you have a different form of fuel cost, you should apply for assistance through the York Financial Assistance Scheme or through the Household Support Fund Scheme.
