There are a number of running and jogging groups in york, organised by Run York, in partnership with City of York Athletic Club and Heworth Harriers.
Sessions are available for beginners or for experienced runners. The sessions are led by highly qualified instructors and supported by Run York joggers.
We aim to help you complete your chosen event and hope that you'll enjoy the fun, friendly and social training sessions for mixed-ability runners and joggers.

Wednesday 'New to Running' group sessions
- Meet at: Holiday Inn, just off Tadcaster Road
- Session time and length: 6.30pm for 1 hour
- Organised by: Run York
The New to Running group meet in a room just off hotel reception.
Parking is available on Cherry Lane. If you have to use the hotel car park you must register your number plate at reception.
Thursday sessions
- Meet at: Millennium Bridge, on the Butcher Terrace side at the intersection of footpaths
- Session time and length: 7.00pm for 1 hour
