Ways to pay at York Register Office
Pay by credit or debit card, terms and conditions apply.
Ceremony deposits or balances can be paid by an invoice which will be raised approximately 10 weeks before the ceremony is due to take place and emailed or posted (if you don't have an email address). However, if you'd like to pay sooner you can email: ceremonies@york.gov.uk and ask for the invoice to be raised.
You have 28 days to make the payment once an invoice is raised. Full details on how to make the payment will be included in the invoice.
Other fees may apply in special circumstances. All fees include VAT if applicable.
We can't accept payments by cash, personal cheques or American Express. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
