Emissions reporting
In October 2021 we published our first ever Annual Carbon Emissions Report 2020/2021 to kick-start the next phase of reducing the carbon emissions of the organisation to net zero.
The report identifies priority areas for decarbonisation, as well as some of the key steps already taken to reduce our carbon footprint, such as purchasing 100% renewably sourced electricity since April 2020.
We have since reported annually to monitor our corporate progress to reduce our carbon emissions to net zero by 2030.
While our first report focused only on scope 1 and 2 emissions such as corporate vehicles and purchased energy, we have continued to expand reporting on our scope 3 emissions. Our 2022 and 2023 emissions report includes emissions associated with scope 3 elements such as:
- homeworking
- commuting
- material usage
