If you are a council tenant and have a stairlift or ceiling hoist in your home, our approved contractor (Pickerings) will telephone you to arrange an annual service and any repairs that are needed.
If you think your equipment has not been serviced for over a year, contact our Housing Capital Projects Team.
Replacement equipment
If your equipment cannot be repaired during the annual service it may need replacing. If this is the case, Pickerings will let us know and we will contact Handicare for a quotation and organise replacement of the equipment. This can take up to 6 weeks.

If you have a disability and your council home causes you difficulties, we may be able to help by adapting your home to help you live life as fully and independently as possible.
