- Description of role

Raise York are looking for volunteers to support our Family Hubs.
The Parent Champions programme is based on the idea that parents are the best people to help other parents find out about childcare and other family services. Parents can build trust with their peers by sharing experiences of using local services and explaining how to access local childcare options and other family services.
Parent Champions help parents find the pieces they need to complete the jigsaw.
If you live in York, use or have used local childcare services, enjoy talking to other parents, want to volunteer and have 2 to 3 hours a week this is the flexible role for you.
Parent Champions make a real difference by shaping services, signposting parents.
The role can be active in your local community, such as at school gates, playgroups, or in one of our Family Hubs alongside our Family Navigators.
Help the families around you get the support they need to improve their families lives and outcomes for children.
