The Hassacarr Nature Reserve is owned by Dunnington Parish Council and managed by Dunnington Conservation Group.

They work within the guidance of a management plan, for the benefit of wildlife, the next generation and a place to reflect on the wonders of nature.

Hassacarr Nature reserve is classified as a Site of Importance for Nature Conservation and a Local Nature Reserve by City of York Council and Natural England.

Access to the Hassacarr Nature Reserve is from Hassacarr Lane which is accessed from the A1079 then from Common Road in Dunnington.
