Volunteer leaf clearers will help to keep pavements, drain covers, parks and green spaces free from leaves.
Work is generally concentrated in the autumn months when there is a high level of leaves found on public footpaths, parks and green spaces.
Volunteers can decide on an area they would like to clear themselves and can decide whether to:
- form a group
- join an existing group
- work individually as and when it suits them
Volunteers will be able to help contribute to their local community, by:
- improving the look of the local area
- reducing surface water flooding
- minimising the risk of falls and injuries
- Benefits to the volunteer
