City of York Council will be carrying out essential drainage works on Towthorpe Moor Lane at the junction with Strensall Road.
Work will start on Monday 15 July and last until Thursday 25 July 2024, weather permitting, and will require a road closure at the junction between 8.00am and 6.00pm, when work is taking place.
There will be no access to the Towthorpe and Strensall Household Waste and Recycling Centre (HWRC) from the direction of Strensall Road, and residents seeking access to the waste and recycling centre should access it via the A64. The site will remain open as normal.
While we're working to minimise disruption, delays are expected, so please plan ahead when making any journeys in the area during the works. Please expect some additional travel time and ensure that your waste is sorted in advance, to reduce the amount of time spent on site.
Emergency services will always be permitted access during the closures.
Please note that Towthorpe HWRC site is closed every Wednesday.
