Free designated parking bays are available for mopeds and 2-wheeled motorcycles in a number of car parks in York, and in on-street pay and display bays.

On-street motorcycle bays
Motorcycles and mopeds can also park all day in designated on-street motorcycle bays on a number of streets in York.

Other on-street motorcycle parking
You may also park all day for free in some residents' parking bays, however, some bays are restricted.
Motorcycles are not permitted in:
- bays marked GM (Guest House bays), or
- Car Club bays
Free parking is also available in any on-street pay and display bay for the maximum time permitted - this will be indicated on the accompanying tariff board or pay and display machines.
When parking on-street, try to take up the minimum amount of room by parking at 90 degrees to the kerb.
Note: Motorcycles and mopeds are not permitted to park in bicycle racks anywhere in the city.
