The Don't Become a Statistic campaign highlights some of the most common types of accidents that happen in York, and how to avoid becoming an accident statistic.
This campaign focuses on 3 common types of accident that happen to pedestrians and cyclists:
- cyclists: make sure the driver has seen you when approaching a junction
- pedestrians: check for traffic at pedestrian crossings, don’t rely on the green man
- cyclists: look out for long vehicles turning left when exiting a junction
