Affordable housing planning requirements

The council’s new Local Plan was submitted to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government on Friday 25 May 2018 and is currently under Examination. As a result of our Local Plan submission, our Local Plan housing policies now apply to all relevant planning applications made after 25 May 2018.

Policy H10 within our Local Plan Publication Draft Regulation 19 Consultation (February 2018) sets out the Affordable Housing provision that will be required for all schemes of two units or more. You can view the latest policy, as proposed to be modified as a result of the Examination, via our tracked change version (2023). You can also view our latest Local Housing Needs Assessment (2022), which is our supporting evidence base to the policy approach.
