The 2024 Lord Mayor's Christmas Cheer event will be hosted by the Lord Mayor of York, Councillor Margaret Wells, and the Civic Party.
It will take place at The Assembly Rooms in York on Tuesday 3 December. The first session will be held at 10.00am, and the second session will be held at 2.00pm.
The Christmas Cheer event will include festive food and performances from musical groups.

A friend, relate or other third-party may assist you to complete the online registration, or complete a registration entry on your behalf, provided you meet the eligibility criteria. Paper copies of the registration form are available for collection from Explore Libraries, or from West Offices reception.
Registration is open until 5.00pm on Friday 22 November.
If you're successful in obtaining a place, we'll notify you as soon as possible from week commencing Monday 18 November.
Christmas Cheer Terms and Conditions
Please be aware that:
- Only a single registration per person should be submitted; duplicate registrations will not be considered.
- Those registered must be aged 65 years or over.
- Those registered must have an address within the City of York Council area.
- You should provide either a telephone number or email address as part of your registration, so that we can contact you; if neither details are provided we may be unable to contact you within appropriate timescales and your place may be redistributed.
- For the purposes of this event the date of birth of those registered must be before 1 January 1959 (thus, they're aged 65 or over, during 2024).
- We will not accept responsibility for registrations that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, nor for any email or telephone correspondence not returned in time for places to be allocated.
- We are not responsible, nor liable to compensate those registered, or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death (except where it is caused by our negligence); your statutory rights are not affected.
- We reserve the right to void, suspend, cancel, or amend this event, where it becomes necessary to do so.
- If we have reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, we may, at our sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating.
- Our decision is final; no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
