Charges for visitor parking permit authorisation
When you buy a household parking permit or if you are the first person to purchase a House in Multiple Occupancy (HMO) parking permit, authorisation to purchase visitor parking permits is included free of charge with your permit.
If you do not own your own vehicle, you will need to purchase a proof of residency permit, or a HMO authorisation permit in order to purchase visitor parking permits.

Paper visitor parking permits
We're replacing paper visitor parking permits (scratch cards) with digital permits.
You're only able to purchase paper visitor parking permits if you hold one of the following, issued before September 2021:
- a paper household parking permit
- a paper HMO parking permit
- a paper authorisation card
You will not be able to purchase digital visitor parking permits until after your paper permit or authorisation card has expired, at which point you will be asked to register an account on the digital Permit Portal if you still require permits at your address.
