The type of licence you hold will affect your renewal date:
- hackney carriage licences are renewed each year on 1 June
- private hire licences are renewed on 1 November
There is no reduction for licences issued part way through the licensing year.
Renewal forms and instructions are sent out by post approximately 6 weeks before a hackney carriage or private hire driver's licence expires. Forms must be completed and returned to the Taxi Licensing Team along with the appropriate fee at least 2 weeks before the licence(s) expire.
Information which is required as part of the renewal process is detailed within the renewal letter.
It is essential that you notify us as soon as possible of any change of address, in order to ensure that you receive your renewal form.
