Travel passes and concessions

The following travel concessions are available to eligible York residents:

Visit your local Job Centre office for more information about:

  • Jobcentre Plus travel discount cards - (for 50% discount on selected rail tickets) available to unemployed people claiming Jobseekers Allowance or Universal Credit, aged 18 to 24 years, for 3 to 9 months, or to those aged 25 years and over, for 3 to 12 months
  • Flexible Support Fund - available at the discretion of Jobcentre Plus staff, to help with the cost of travelling to an interview, training, or for the first months of travelling to work
