Technical information about this system’s accessibility

We are committed to making our online services accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations, 2018.

This part of our website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, (WCAG); we've listed non-compliances.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

  • some alt text on images is the same as nearby or adjacent text, which can be repetitive or confusing for users of assistive technology - this relates to WGAC success criterion 1.1.1 (A)
  • some pages have missing headings or headings which are not in sequential order, which can make it harder for some users to orient themselves and cause difficulties for users of assistive technology with keyboard shortcuts not working as expected, page structure being unclear and relationships between parts of the content less easily understood - this relates to WCAG success criterion 2.4.6 (AA)
  • some form controls have more than one label associated to them, which can mean assistive technology may not read the appropriate label - this relates to WCAG success criterion 3.3.2 (A)
  • some buttons do not have discernable text that clearly describes the destination, purpose, function, or action, which can cause difficulties for users of assistive technology as they can't understand the interface or interaction - this relates to WCAG success criterion 4.1.2 (A)
