Blue Badge access to footstreets
Blue Badge holders are permitted to enter footstreets between 10.30am and 5.00pm. Find out more information about the process of city centre access for Blue Badge vehicles
By presenting your valid Blue Badge to staff at barriers, you can drive into the city centre every day between 10.30am and 5.00pm, via Blake Street and Goodramgate.
Vehicular access to Fossgate is available between 8.00am and 6.00pm if access to a business or residence is required, to reduce traffic and enable pavement cafés to use the footpath.
There are drop off and collection points (loading bays) between 27 Fossgate and Merchantgate, to support those with mobility issues accessing the street, if off-street parking is not available.
