Blue Badge parking in on-street pay and display bays
Blue Badge holders can drive into the city centre by presenting a valid Blue Badge to staff at barriers at Goodramgate and Blake Street between 10.30am and 5.00pm, daily.
Blue Badge holders can park in on-street 'pay and display' bays, free of charge, with no time limit during normal 'pay and display' hours, usually between 8.00am and midnight.
Some on-street bays have waiting restrictions (single yellow lines), restricting parking between certain hours of the day - Blue Badge holders:
- can use bays with waiting restrictions for a maximum of 3 hours during the hours that yellow lines are enforceable (usually between 8.00am and 6.00pm)
- must display a time clock during restricted hours
Relevant signage is place alongside every 'pay and display' bay.
