Everyone involved in sport and physical activity should be able to take part or volunteer without fear of abuse or harassment. Ensuring your organisation does everything it can to safeguard children and adults from harm is essential. Everyone involved in your organisation should know who to contact and what to do if they have any concerns.

Buddle

Sport England’s Buddle has a range of resources available relating to safeguarding including information about policies and procedures, and embedding good practice.

Ann Craft Trust

The Ann Craft Trust is the leading authority in safeguarding adults and young people at risk. On their website you can find resources aimed to help you achieve best practice, with specific resources available for sports and activity organisations. The Ann Craft Trust also run a number of training opportunities to upskill people involved in delivering sport.

NSPCC Child Protection in Sport Unit

NSPCC Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU) is funded by Sport England and was founded in response to a series of high profile cases of abuse of young athletes.
