How we process Household Support Fund payments
There are 2 routes for the new Household Support Fund - Working age Council Tax Support and discretionary.
If you have already received a HSF4 invitation payment, this will be paid automatically to the same bank details and you do not need to apply again.
Residents who are not receiving Council Tax Support or is over pension age and is struggling to meet their household bills can apply directly for a grant.
The discretionary HSF 5 will be open from Monday 29 April 2024, and will close at midnight on 30 September 2024.
This application involves a standard means test around your current circumstances and the assistance needed to pay essential bills.
Any exceptional discretionary awards will be made on an individual basis as appropriate.
