Net Zero Fund Development Projects

York has received funding through the Net Zero Fund from York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority to develop new net zero projects from “idea to investor ready”. The development projects include feasibility assessments of renewable energy schemes using Solar PV and onshore wind and a full business case for the development of a Green Energy Park in York.

York’s Net Zero Fund development projects are:

  • Elvington Lane Solar PV, City of York Council
  • Harewood Whin Green Energy Park, City of York Council
  • North Wigginton Onshore Wind, City of York Council

These development projects aim to create a pipeline of renewable energy net zero projects that will drive economic growth, create jobs, reduce energy costs for businesses and leverage further investment for the region.
