Charges for published information
Our Publication Scheme helps to:
- make the maximum amount of information readily available
- ensure your access to information is convenient
- keep costs for ‘routinely published information’ low, justified and transparent
We provide information free of charge when it’s published and accessed on a website. However, we may charge:
- if Parliament had set out charges
- to cover our costs for:
- photocopying
- postage and packaging
- arrangements to view information
- for information where fees are legally authorised, including when 'the right of access to information held by the council' applies
If we 'make available for re-use' whole or part-datasets that are protected by copyright, our charges will be in accordance with the terms of:
- the Re-use of Public Sector Information Regulations 2015, where they apply
- regulations made under section 11B of the Freedom of Information Act
- other statutory powers of the council
All of our charges will be justified and align to our published schedule of fees.
We'll confirm the total amount of charges for requests made under the Publication Scheme, and may ask you to pay before we supply any information.
